When you’re trying to score with women at the bar, tag teaming it is a great option. You can set the scene, runs plays, and have someone to fall back on if you strike out. A second set of eyes is great for scoping out the scene and helping you see which women are closed for business and which just need a couple drinks to loosen up. However, the most basic mistake a man makes is bringing along another man. He may be your best friend, but you know that when it comes to hooking up with the hotties he’s looking out for number one. The solution? Find a wingwoman instead of a wingman.
Who Makes a Good Wingwoman?
You might not have any close female friends. That’s alright; these days it seems like the mixing of the sexes has largely ceased. If you don’t have a friend you can turn to, who then? Co-workers are the next best bet. If you can take her out on a work outing and then ask for her help in nabbing a particularly fine catch, she could be your ticket to a good time. Plus, it might remove any sexual tension between you at the workplace. If she’s helping you pick up women, you know that she’s not interested in you.
Ideally, this woman should also be attractive. The more attractive, the better, because you’re going to let the women you pick up think that you’re choosing them over your wingwoman. This powerful compliment flatters them without you having to say a word.
The Confidence Booster
This is the best play for using a wingwoman, and it would never work for a wingman. For this play, have you wingwoman get a drink from the bar. Approach the object of your intent (i.e. the woman you want to take home tonight) and start a conversation. Flirt. A few minutes later, enter your wingwoman. She should be hot. At the very least, she should be a good actress. She flirts with you, tries to get your attention. The woman you’re chatting up will respond by flirting with you as well. After all, she wants to stake her territory. Nothing makes a human being want something like the idea that someone else wants. Even if she wasn’t sold on you at first, she will be after seeing this hot woman trying to snag you away.
After a few minutes, give your wingwoman a polite brush off. She gives the hottie you’re chatting up a death glare and stalks away. Just like that, you’ve chosen this new woman over a very hot “sure thing” situation. She’s flattered. She’s confident because she “won” the conflict. You reap the benefits.
Wingwomen turn the challenge of picking up women from a woman fending off your advances to a woman winning your affection in a competition setting. This is exactly the kind of thing that she wants, and you can easily appeal to many different women. You don’t have to customize this play to the “type” you’re hitting on; every woman wants to be hotter than the competition. Keep your wingwoman on call for those situations when a wingman would be snagging the hottest women for himself.
