She’s a beautiful woman, that’s for sure. Obviously she likes you and you’re feeling pretty sweet on her. Everything’s going well, but even so, you tend to feel nervous when she is even just standing there. It’s a common problem among most guys, but there are ways to get over it. Once you’ve gotten rid of those shy or awkward feelings you can fully unleash the beast and get your best game face on.
Yeah, it sounds weird. Practice being around women? Who does that? You do, if you want to finally be able to be comfortable around her. If you just generally have a hard time talking to women, then head out to the town. The bakery, grocery store, skating rink, etc. will all have at least one woman working there. Strike up a conversation and don’t stop until there’s a natural reason to leave. This could be that she’s finished ringing you up, given you your skates, etc. It’s going to be weird as hell at first, but eventually you’ll be able to get over it and have semi-normal conversations.
That’s when you put your skills to the test and go back to your main squeeze. She’s going to be a harder target to get close to because she’s the object of your affection. Having a higher confidence from the practice that you got on the other women will help you get over that, though.
Make Up Your Mind
A lot of the trouble about freaking out around a woman or feeling shy is that you’re just not sure what to do. You can’t decide if you should call her or not. Or whether to ask her to dance or just sit on the wall waiting for your next beer. When you’re thinking something, make up your mind about what it is. Should you call her? Yes. Or no. Whatever your answer is it’s fine, but you have to just pick one. The constant battle in your mind won’t make you feel any better and it’s going to get in the way of your game. Keep it cool and figure out your plan. Stick with it.
Take Other Chances
If you have a certain fear or risk that you’ve always wanted to confront, now’s the time to do it. Obviously it’s going to be tough, that’s why it’s scary, but it’s also probably going to mirror your fear of being around this woman. When you get it over with, you can say that yeah, you went sky diving and didn’t even piss yourself. So what’s holding you back from talking to a woman that you already hang out with? Nothing, that’s what. Talking yourself up in your head and doing daring things will only make it easier to face your awkwardness and deal with it. After all, you’re not looking to propose to the woman. You just have to keep your indecisiveness covered up with the cool personality that’s lying underneath.
