While it may sound like a total asshole move, sometimes you’ve got to hide the worst parts of yourself to even get the woman that you like to go on a date with you. It’s not your fault that you got dealt a sucky hand when it came to personality. But now it’s up to you to hide that crap, but just long enough for her to get to know you. Once she’s fallen for you, you can start integrating your normal oddities back into your daily life, but do it too early and it might scare her away.
How to Hide It
Obviously the best way to hide your bad habits is to just not do them. If you’re normally pissed off by waiters who don’t refill your water, then you’re going to actively have to remind yourself to only cuss him out in your head. Bringing out that ugly head is going to make her wonder what you’ll say to her if she’s doing something mildly annoying. The best bet is to bite your tongue. It will bother the hell out of you, but practice it anyway. Go out by yourself to a place that you know normally forgets your water. Order something and wait. This isn’t a fun exercise, but hopefully it will be enough to temper your wrath.

Start to Quit It
If you’ve got a bad outlook on life and are generally a pessimist then try some yoga. You’ll find ways to try and calm yourself down and think more positively. It’s not going to be a walk in the park and most likely she’ll end up seeing how pissy you can get, but at least eventually you might not be that way anymore. Even if you do try and end up failing, you should have had enough down time where you weren’t being such an ass that she won’t notice as much at first. She’ll just think you’re grouchy and when she’s stuck around and realizes that you’re naturally moody she’ll have accepted you for who you are.
